6 things I did as a Computer Science undergraduate in India
Flashback
10 years ago I didn’t know the things that I was going to experience as an undergraduate. These experiences have shaped me into a completely different person.
I am gonna skip over the “competitive exam depression” which I am sure most undergrads from India can relate to.
There is just one solution to that. MOVE ON!
Your past doesn’t define your future.
A few days ago I was checking out the bucket list posted by random people online and I was surprised to see that there were so many things common to what I had in my own bucket list. I am fortunate that i was able to do so many things as an undergraduate.
It took me a while to understand what I have gained is truly valuable not only short term but for the long term as well.
My parents keeps telling me — “If you are doing something good, it will pay off. Might take some time, but it will.”
And I am like — “Sure. But when??”.
I never realized that I was actually getting paid in terms of experience and lifetime memories.
I always felt like this is not enough. I have to do something more, something more, and something more. I kept feeling bad for myself for some reason. I was chasing happiness. Never took time to self-reflect and look back.
